A Poem for Bedtime

I've just read an article about a new book that is coming out in October 2011. It's based around the importance of bedtime routine and how sometimes we all get a little frustrated.

Every parent knows that a good bedtime routine is central to a happy household. It helps children feel calm and secure and allows parents to spend quiet, quality time with their little darlings. However, if you are struggling a little with achieving the perfect bedtime routine for you and your little darlings perhaps this book is for you.

Here's a little excerpt of one of the bedtime poems:

The cats nestle close to their kittens now.
The lambs have laid down with the sheep.
You're cozy and warm in your bed, my dear
Please go the fuck to sleep.

The book by Adam Mansbach is available on pre-order from Amazon and is endearing entitled: Go the F@#k to Sleep .

  4. How did I miss this post??! Love it.

Reminds me of a fab book I saw after just after my son was born. It's called something like "Porm for Mums" and it was basically hot, shirtless men with speech bubbles saying things like, "I've made dinner and there's chocolate for later" and "Mmmmmm I love a soft, flabby tummy and milky boobs" etc. I should have bought it.
